Not Alone

Not Alone

The sun shines silently
from far away
lighting up diamonds
across the bay
It reminds me
I am not alone

My son throws his daughter
into the air
their shared giggles
fill my ears like a prayer
It reminds me
I am not alone

All along the seashore
people mingle
Families, friends,
married, single
Even the sealife
are busy together
seashell, tidepool, beak, and feather

The sun descends
Dark is near
but one by one
the stars appear
It reminds me
I am not alone

I Slammed the Front Door

I Slammed the Front Door

And Just Like That He Died Again

And Just Like That He Died Again
